modern medicine–hallelujah! {houston newborn photographer}
all I can say is thank goodness for modern medicine! there are times that i really wonder what i would do if i lived in the middle ages rather than today? case in point….this friday night my husband and i were traveling to Galveston for a college friends rehearsal dinner. the in-laws had come to watch the kids and i was so so excited for a night out with the hubby. unfortunately about 40 miles outside of Galveston i started feeling a little odd…things just weren’t looking right. at first i thought it was just a little motion sickness from riding in my husband’s jeep which tends to be a little bumpy to say the least. things got progressively worse until the whole world was literally spinning around me and my stomach was oh so unsettled. i finally told mike he had to pullover. like. now! i can honestly say i have never been so dizzy and sick to my stomach in my entire life. the scariest part was that i just wanted to go home and go to bed, but we were 80 miles away and the thought of the car ride in my current state was just terrifying. i knew i would never make it. i was begging to go to the ER. thankfully mike found an urgent care center that was only 2 miles away and got me there pronto! the sweet dr. and nurse determined quickly that i had a bad case of vertigo. thankfully several medications later I was feeling completely drugged– but so much better. it’s times like this and during the recent birth of Dylan that I am so so thankful for wonderful doctors and modern medicine. Hallelujah!!!!!!
here’s a recent pic. of dylan that i’m in love with…
