almost makes me want to be pregnant again {houston maternity photographer}

August 17th, 2010 , Posted in Houston photographer

she looks so cute pregnant i almost wish i was again….well maybe NOT! :-) i do really love these pictures though. my favorites are her with her son who will soon  be a big brother.  it’s an exciting time!

on a different note–i love to pass along things when i discover them, however, sometimes i can be a little behind on certain things. That said I am in love with Pandora radio (www.pandora.com). it makes me so happy every time i sit down to work at the computer! for anyone that doesn’t know (all 3 of you…) it’s a free radio website where you can type in your favorite songs/artists and it will create different radio stations just for you based on your favorite types of music. every time you log in to pandora.com you can choose which of your radio stations you want to listen based on your mood and it will stream music while you work on your computer. enjoy!

what to wear? {houston family photographer}

September 30th, 2009 , Posted in Houston photographer, children's photographer, kids photographer

recently, a client asked for suggestions on what her family should wear for their holiday photo session. it can be difficult to describe how you don’t need to have everyone perfectly matching in order to coordinate for a photo session–so I thought i’d include some examples! these are all examples of  outfits you can put together from bodenusa.com or old navy and show how your family can look stylish AND coordinate for fall/holiday photo sessions. also, don’t feel like everyone has to dress in red or green just because you’re having holiday pictures taken. You choice of card design can effectively convey your holiday spirit–your clothes don’t necessarily have to. Have fun getting inspired with the examples below and feel free to ask me if you have any other questions about your wardrobe selections before your session!

newborn at home session {houston newborn and baby photographer}

September 5th, 2009 , Posted in Houston photographer, children's photographer, kids photographer, newborn, newborn photographer

This session was so much fun! We shot this little guy’s newborn session in the comfort of his own home….aaaahhhh! He was very relaxed and such a great sport–I think mom and dad were more relaxed too! I want to start doing more newborn sessions this way–no backdrops, no artificial lights– just your home as the backdrop. Definitely a great way to remember your first weeks at home with the new addition.

Whew! I have been very busy with all of the Janie & Jack sessions…almost 25 different sessions to shoot, edit, etc. so I have been a little slow to post some of the pics. Here are a few of my favorite…there are many more I hope to post soon. Thanks to all the moms and dads who brought their little ones. It was great meeting all of you!

New Logo/Mommy Cards

February 12th, 2009 , Posted in Houston photographer, Kids

Yay! I am so excited that my new logo, splash page and blog header are here! Check them out at the top of this page and on the splash page of my site {www.tynanphotography.com}.  I was ready for a new look and  Lisa at Lisa Reichman Design (www.lisareichmandesign.com) did an awesome job! Let me know what you think of the new design.

Also, I wanted to show off a new product–Mommy Cards! The same size as a business card, these are perfect to keep in your wallet to hand out when planning a playdate. Next time you meet a new mom you want to keep in touch with you can just give her your card!

I did it!

October 25th, 2008 , Posted in Houston photographer, Kids, Personal, just for fun

I recently got back from Louisville where I DID IT! I finished the Louisville half-marathon!

Around the 9th or 10th mile I did not think I would make it, but I did and it was so worth it. My son, husband and mom were waiting at the finish line with bottles of water and snacks! After the race I thought I had for sure injured myself because I could NOT MOVE for the next two days. All I can say is I have so much more respect for people that can run the full 26.2. woo-hoo!

While we were in town we got to take our son to a great private zoo in Prospect called Henry’s Ark. It’s a private farm that’s been opened to the public with over 100 animals that call it home. There’s no admission and many of the animals just wander free for families to feed and interact with. Days later my son was still asking to go feed the animals more carrots!
